Firefighters blocked the highway in both directions following the Sunday night collision

Bakersfield, Calif. – At least one person was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night in Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck took place around 9:28 p.m. on Highway 184, just south of Kerrnita Road.
A white Mercedes-Benz with a female driver collided with a red convertible for an unknown reason.
The driver of the Mercedes was screaming after the crash.
The convertible was left partially blocking traffic lanes.
Firefighters responded to the scene and closed the highway in both directions.
According to the firefighters, at least one person suffered minor injuries. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
