Benton County, Wash. – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 240 in Benton County Monday morning.
According to the authorities, the wreck happened at around 5:45 a.m. near milepost 19 just west of the roundabout on SR 240 and SR 225.
Reportedly, the crash happened when a driver tried to pass another car and hit oncoming traffic head-on.
The driver who tried to pass was killed in the wreck.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
