According to the report, Krieg was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius eastbound on Cornelius Avenue when he was struck at the intersection by a 2019 Toyota Highlander traveling south on Pleasant Grove Road
Sutter County, Calif. – The driver who was killed in a crash in Sutter County on January 5 has been identified as Joe Otto Krieg, 93, of Nicolaus, according to the Sutter County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck took place on Cornelius Avenue near Pleasant Grove Road at around 2:30 p.m. January 5.
According to the report, Krieg was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius eastbound on Cornelius Avenue when he was struck at the intersection by a 2019 Toyota Highlander traveling south on Pleasant Grove Road.
Krieg was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
