UPDATE: Mojave, Calif. – The Kern County Coroner's Office has released the name of the woman who died in a two-vehicle crash on Redrock Randsburg Road in Mojave.
Mary Leechella Love, 50, of Ridgecrest died after her vehicle collided head-on with another car on Redrock Randsburg Road, just west of Garlock Road
Mojave, Calif. – A 50-year-old woman from Ridgecrest was killed and two other California City residents were injured following a head-on traffic collision in Mojave Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 8:35 a.m. on Redrock Randsburg Road, just west of Garlock Road.
According to the CHP, the Ridgecrest woman and her 49-year-old male passenger from California City were traveling east in a white Hyundai when they collided with a westbound Mercedes operated by a Carolin Smith, 53, of California City.
The Ridgecrest woman was killed in the accident.
Smith and the California City man were hospitalized with severe injuries.

Mojave, Calif. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Mojave Monday morning, according to the CHP.
Authorities responded to the deadly auto-car crash on Redrock Randsburg Road just west of Garlock Road at around 8:35 a.m.
A white Mercedes collided with a white SUV for reasons not yet established.
One person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
During the on-scene investigation, Redrock Randsburg Road was shut down in both directions.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
