Update: CHP Says Major Injuries Sustained in Rocklin Car Accident, Driver Arrested and Released to Hospital

, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol said two people were injured, at least one seriously, in a head-on collision that happened Tuesday night at Industrial Avenue and Placer Boulevard in Rocklin.

CHP had earlier reported that two people were taken to Sutter Medical Center with minor injuries but later upgraded the injuries of at least one patient to major.

Authorities also said that one of the drivers was arrested for an unspecified traffic violation, and released to the hospital.

Rocklin, Calif. – Two people were injured Tuesday night in a head-on collision at an intersection in Rocklin, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities received reports of the crash around 11:51 p.m. at Industrial Avenue and Placer Boulevard.

A Chevrolet Camaro collided head-on with a Toyota for an unknown reason.

Both drivers were transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with minor injuries.

Both cars were towed away with major front-end damage.

Investigators closed both lanes of Industrial Avenue as they worked the scene.
