Long Beach, Calif.The Department of Medical Examiner's office has identified Alecia McCullough, 43, as a woman killed in a pedestrian crash on PCH in Long Beach Sunday night.

The Long Beach Police Department responded to the wreck at around 8:10 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and Cherry Avenue.

Long Beach, Calif. – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle in Long Beach on Sunday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The collision took place on the Pacific Coast Highway west of Cherry Avenue at around 8 p.m. January 7.

Police said a woman was crossing the PCH outside of the crosswalk when she was hit by a westbound vehicle.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

According to the Long Beach Police, alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
