Police say the boy was riding a motorcycle southbound on Pacific Coast Highway when, for some reason, he collided with a vehicle turning west onto Carnelian Street.

Redondo Beach, Calif. – A teenage rider was killed after colliding with another vehicle at an intersection in Redondo Beach Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report.
The deadly crash happened at about 2:17 p.m. Wednesday, January 10 at the intersection of Carnelian Street and Pacific Coast Highway.
Officers responded to the scene and located the young man lying in the street and unresponsive.
Preliminary investigation showed that the boy was riding a motorcycle southbound on Pacific Coast Highway when, for some reason, he collided with a vehicle turning west onto Carnelian Street.
According to the Redondo Beach Police Department, the driver of the involved vehicle, described only as a woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
