Phoenix, Ariz. – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Phoenix on Wednesday evening, according to the authorities.

The crash took place near 44th Street and Osborn Road shortly before 7 p.m. January 10.

The Phoenix Police Department said a man and a woman were trying to cross 44th Street when they were hit by an SUV.

The victims were rushed to a hospital, where the woman was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
