Hesperia, Calif. (VVNG.com) – An elderly man was hospitalized after being struck and injured by a vehicle outside the Walmart store in Hesperia Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened at 1:40 p.m. on January 11, 2024, in the 13400 block of Main Street.
Reportedly, the driver said she was navigating the store's parking when she struck the man. The woman was driving gray Toyota Corolla south towards the Walmart and attempted to turn right in front of the store to head west when she struck the pedestrian.
After the impact, a shopping cart fell on the man. Hesperia Police Department officers and San Bernardino County Fire responded to the scene and transported the patient to Desert Valley Medical Center for treatment
The crash remains under investigation.
