Seattle, Wash. – A 61-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in a crash Thursday evening in Seattle, according to the authorities.
The deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 6:05 p.m. on Elliott Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the man crossed the street in an unmarked crosswalk when he was hit by a northbound vehicle on Elliot Avenue driven by a 40-year-old woman.
The man was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The police said the name of the deceased will be released upon notification of the next of kin.
The motorist involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
