, Calif. – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has released the identity of a motorcycle rider who died after crashing into the back of another vehicle on New Year's Eve on 10 Freeway in Fontana.

According to the CHP, Allen Roberts, 32, of Bloomington, was riding his 2005 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle at a speed of over 100 mph eastbound on the when he crashed into a 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by a 33-year-old Las Vegas resident.

Roberts was ejected from his motorcycle and was struck by another vehicle in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. He was transported to Kaiser Hospital-Fontana where he was pronounced dead.

Fontana, Calif. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle and being struck by two other vehicles at a Fontana intersection Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 8:25 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2023, in the area of 10 Freeway and Cherry Avenue.

Responding officers learned that a motorcycle rider was going at a speed of over 100 mph when it rammed into the back of a black Nissan. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway and was run over by two vehicles.

The rider was found pinned under an SUV. As per the CHP, the rider sustained injuries in the incident.

The name of the victim was withheld pending notification to the next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
