
Spokane, Wash. – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Spokane on Friday morning.
The collision happened at Appleway Trail and S. Evergreen Road early, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
The bicyclist was riding eastbound on the Appleway Trail and was trying to cross the intersection and was struck by a northbound car.
The bicyclist suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The driver and a passenger in the involved car remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
The accident remains under investigation.
