Trevino was driving a Chevy Silverado westbound on Millerton when he crossed over into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra

Fresno, Calif. – The authorities identified have released the names of the victim killed and the DUI suspect following a crash at an intersection in Fresno.
The Fresno County Coroner's office identified the victim as John Tarter, 78, of Fresno. The DUI suspect has been identified as Ryan Matthew Wayne Trevino, 35, of Fresno.
According to the CHP, a blue Chevy Silverado pickup, driven by Trevino, was westbound on Millerton Road near Marina Drive at about 2:23 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 when he veered onto the shoulder and then into the eastbound lane where he collided head-on with Tarter's white Toyota Tundra.
CHP says Tarter was taken by an ambulance to Lost Lake where he died. Tarter's passenger sustained major injuries in the crash.
Trevino, who police say could be charged with murder due to previous DUI violations, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

Fresno, Calif. – A 78-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision that left another person injured on Saturday afternoon near Friant in Fresno.
The fatal collision happened on Millerton Road and Marina Drive at around 2:23 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 35-year-old man was driving a 2016 blue Chevy Silverado westbound on Millerton when he crossed over into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a white Toyota Tundra.
The 78-year-old man driving the Toyota Tundra was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Chevy was hospitalized with major injuries.
Officers say alcohol was a factor in the crash and are investigating the driver of the Chevy for DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
