San Jose, Calif. – A woman died after being hit by a car in San Jose early Monday morning.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 1:54 a.m. in the area of Skyway Drive and Monterey Road, according to the San Jose Police Department.
A woman was reportedly struck by a car on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Units are currently in the area of Skyway Dr and Monterey Rd for a major injury vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The adult female pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The unidentified woman was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Information about the motorist was not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
