Fresno, Calif. – A 40-year-old man was injured after being trapped underneath a truck on South Maple Avenue in Fresno Sunday evening.
According to the authorities, the collision happened at around 5:30 p.m. on South Maple and East Church Avenues.
Reportedly, a southbound dark sedan on Maple slammed into the back of a pickup truck. The truck then lost control and crashed into a bus stop on the side of the convenience store.
The truck then hit a man standing next to the bus stop, trapping him underneath the truck.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
The truck driver was not hurt in the wreck.
Officers were able to find the driver of the sedan on South Winery Avenue and detained them.
The driver of the sedan could face charges including felony hit and run.
An investigation to determine the cause of the incident is underway.
