Palm Desert, Calif. – A driver was killed in a rear-end collision at an intersection in Palm Desert Saturday evening, police said.
The Palm Desert Police Department responded to the wreck at around 5:44 p.m. on January 13 at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Barrington Drive.
Reportedly, the driver of the Chrysler was stopped in the eastbound lane of the intersection, when the Toyota rear-ended it. The Toyota driver most likely suffered a medical emergency just before the collision.
The unidentified Toyota driver was pronounced dead at the crash site
The driver and passenger of the Chrysler were not injured and remained at the scene.
The police said drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor in the wreck.
More details regarding the mishap were not provided.
