4 Injured in San Diego Crash on State Route 15 near Highway 94

, Calif. – At least four people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a car crash in San Diego on Tuesday morning.

At around 4:05 a.m., the California Highway Patrol conducted routine checks on State near Highway 94.

The driver of a black Toyota Prius reportedly failed to yield, ran a stop sign, executed a U-turn, and attempted to go the wrong way on SR-94.

The Toyota was then struck by a silver Nissan Altima. The collision left both vehicles disabled.

Four people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect fled the scene of the collision and was yet to be located.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
