Phoenix, Ariz. – Several people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Agua Fria Freeway (Loop 101) in West Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the wreck happened just before 3:30 p.m. on the southbound Loop 101 near Indiana School Road.
Two vehicles collided in the area in unclear circumstances.
A total of five people sustained injuries in the wreck, including a 40-year-old man who's in critical condition and a 61-year-old woman with less severe injuries.
The Arizona Department of Transportation closed the southbound lanes of the roadway following the crash, but all reopened around 4 p.m. Northbound traffic was not affected.
No additional information about the collision was provided.
