Six vehicles were involved in the pileup in the northbound lanes near Winchester Boulevard

San Jose, Calif. – One person was sent to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.
At around 5:37 p.m., CHP officers received reports of a collision on the northbound 280 Freeway near Winchester Boulevard.
Six vehicles were involved in the pileup.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
One person suffered minor injuries in the accident. The patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
