Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck on the eastbound side of East Mission Road
San Marcos, Calif. – A pedestrian was struck and Killed by a vehicle in San Marcos early Thursday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on East Mission Road near Hollandia Dairy and Mission Hills High School at about 4:20 a.m.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck on the eastbound side of East Mission Road.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A section of the eastbound lanes of East Mission Road was closed for the investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
