The man was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard

Los Angeles, Calif. – A 59-year-old man died after being hit by a car as he rode a bicycle on Wednesday evening in South Los Angeles.
The fatal bicycle accident happened on Crenshaw Boulevard near Stocker Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The man was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard.
The victim landed in the lanes and was hit by a second speeding car that was also traveling northbound.
The unidentified man died at the accident scene.
The driver of the first car pulled over at the scene and attempted to render aid to the victim.
The second driver did not stop and was yet to be located.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
