Tobkey walked into the southbound lane after the collision and was struck by multiple oncoming vehicles

Santa Maria, Calif. – 31-year-old Yigit Tobkey, of Lompoc, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Wednesday night in Santa Maria.
The fatal collision happened on southbound State Route 1, just south of Graciosa Road, at around 9:23 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was riding a motorcycle when he lost control and veered off the roadway. Tobkey walked into the southbound lane and was struck by multiple oncoming vehicles.
American Medical Response Paramedics arrived at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
