, Calif. – At least one person was injured and transported to a hospital after a head-on crash on in Bakersfield Friday evening.

According to California Highway Patrol incident log, the collision happened at around 5:18 p.m. on State Route 43 near Whisler Road.

Reportedly, a pickup and a grey sedan crashed head-on on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

At least one person was transported to Kern Medical Center with injuries.

No additional information about the collision was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
