The troopers said a truck driver was heading east in the westbound lanes of US 60 when they collided head-on with an oncoming sports vehicle

Apache Junction, Ariz. – One person was killed and two others injured in a wrong-way collision in Apache Junction on Saturday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on US 60 near Mountain View Road.
The troopers said a truck driver was heading east in the westbound lanes of US 60 when they collided head-on with an oncoming sports vehicle.
The woman driving the sports vehicle and her daughter were taken to a hospital, where the woman died.
The daughter was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The wrong-way driver was also transported with serious injuries.
It's unclear whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
