A preliminary investigation indicated that a Hyundai sedan collided with a freight train at the intersection in unclear circumstances
Phelan, Calif. – One person was seriously injured in a crash Sunday afternoon on Phelan Road in Phelan.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the wreck was reported at around 1:06 p.m. on Phelan Road and White Road.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a Hyundai sedan collided with a freight train at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
One person was trapped and was extricated.
Mercy Air helicopter landed at the scene and airlifted the critically hurt victim to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment. The other party was also transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.
No additional information about the wreck was provided.
