2 Hurt in Canyon Country Crash on Sierra Highway; Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested

Canyon Country, Calif. – Two people were injured in a traffic collision on Sierra Highway in Canyon Country on Monday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. on January 22 on Sierra Highway near San Canyon Road.

According to the Fire Department, two people were transported to a local hospital after the collision.
A driver fled the scene after the incident. The suspect was located and arrested by Valley Sheriff's Station deputies at a home in the 16000 block of Sierra Highway.

It was not immediately clear if both patients were pedestrians.
The incident remains under investigation.
