A passenger in the Kia suffered major injuries including broken ribs, pelvis, and a damaged lung

Livermore, Calif. – One person was injured in a suspected DUI car crash involving a stolen vehicle on Sunday afternoon in Livermore.
The California Highway Patrol Dublin Area said the accident happened on Mines Road just south of Tesla Road.
Police say a 2024 Toyota Rav4, believed to have been stolen, was traveling north on Mines Road when it veered into oncoming traffic and struck a 2011 Kia Sorrento.
A passenger in the Kia suffered major injuries including broken ribs, pelvis, and a damaged lung.
The driver of the Toyota is suspected of driving under the influence.
A passenger in the Toyota fled the scene on foot but was later located and arrested.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
