Police said a driver in a truck heading north on Alma School Road failed to stop for a red light and collided with a sedan traveling east

Chandler, Ariz. – Lila Barton, 69, of Sun Lakes, was Killed in a collision in Chandler on Thursday morning, according to the Chandler Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of Willis and Alma School Roads at about 10 a.m. January 25.
Police said a driver in a truck heading north on Alma School Road failed to stop for a red light and collided with a sedan traveling east.
Barton was a passenger in the sedan. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the truck was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police said speed and impairment were not suspected in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
