Sacramento, Calif. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Thursday night in North Highlands.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at Elkhorn Boulevard and Walerga Road at around 9:30 p.m., according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
A vehicle is reported to have struck a pedestrian on the highway in unclear circumstances.
The unidentified pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene and was yet to be located.
