Phoenix, Ariz. – A motorcycle rider was hit and killed in a crash that happened Wednesday night on Interstate 17 in Phoenix.
Authorities said the collision was reported at around 7:30 p.m. on January 23 on the southbound Interstate 17 near Union Hills Drive.
A vehicle hit the motorcycle causing fatal injuries to the rider.
The identity of the biker was not immediately released.

The crash happened on Interstate 17 near the Bell Road exit.
The motorcyclist reportedly collided with a passenger vehicle and the motorcycle was partially pinned under the car.
The rider sustained major injuries.
