A 54-year-old woman from Roseville who was riding in the Mazda was pronounced dead at the accident scene

Yuba City, Calif. – A 54-year-old Roseville woman died in a suspected DUI car crash on Saturday evening in Yuba City.
At around 4 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car accident on George Washington Boulevard near Lincoln Road.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 38-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Honda Accord northbound on South George Washington Boulevard when she crashed into a southbound 2012 Mazda 3 driven by a 35-year-old woman.
A 54-year-old woman from Roseville who was riding in the Mazda was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Mazda was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony DUI causing injury.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
