Fresno, Calif. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Fresno on Saturday evening, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The collision took place on Fresno Street and Cambridge Avenue at about 6 p.m. January 27.

Police said a vehicle traveling south on Fresno Street collided with a pedestrian in the area.

The victim, an unhoused woman, was taken to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
