Spokane County, Wash. – 52-year-old Livian D. Baez-Gomez was killed and four others hospitalized after a head-on collision on Bigelow Gulch Road in Spokane County Wednesday morning.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 5:30 a.m. on January 24 on Bigelow Gulch Road and Weile Avenue.
Reportedly, a westbound semi-truck on Bigelow Gulch Road drifted over the centerline and collided head-on with an Acura. Investigators believed speed and conditions played a role in the crash.
Three Adult occupants in the Acura were transported to the hospital with critical injuries, where Baez Gomez later died.
Two people in the truck were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
An investigation is underway.

Spokane County, Wash. – Three people were injured in a crash on Wednesday morning in Spokane County, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
The collision happened on Bigelow Gulch Road and Weile Avenue at about 5:30 a.m.
A sedan and a semi-truck reportedly collided head-on in the area.
Emergency crews extricated trapped parties from their vehicles.
The three occupants of the sedan were taken to Sacred Heart with critical injuries.
The two people in the semi were transported with minor injuries.
Dense fog and icy road conditions are suspected to have played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
