Preliminary investigation revealed that the bus was stopped on eastbound E. 6th Street and the Kia rear-ended the bus at high speed.

Corona, Calif. – One person was killed after a bus and a car collided at an intersection in Corona on Friday, January 19, 2024, according to the Corona Police Department.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:12 p.m. in the area of East Sixth Street and East Grand Boulevard.
The Corona Police Department and Corona Fire Department responded to the scene and found a Kia and an RTA bus.
Despite life-saving measures, the driver of the Kia succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The name of the victim was not immediately released pending notification to the next of kin.
No one else was in the Kia at the time of the crash. Two people on the bus sustained minor injuries in the incident. The driver of the bus was not injured.
