Francisco Villalobos and Joe Herrera were pronounced dead at the scene
Fresno, Calif. – Authorities have released the names of two men who died early Sunday after a truck and sedan collided at an intersection in Fresno County.
The Fresno County Coroner's Office identified the victims as Francisco Ramirez Villalobos, 41, and Joe Herrera Jr., 68, of Fresno.
The deadly accident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, January 28, at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Marks Avenue near Highway 99.
Authorities say Villalobos was in the truck, but it was not immediately clear if he was the driver. Herrera was operating the sedan when the crash occurred. The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third person sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Reportedly, the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Clinton Avenue when it collided with the sedan traveling southbound on Marks Avenue.
The incident remains under investigation.
