Goleta, Calif. – Authorities are investigating an early Wednesday morning big rig accident that happened in Goleta, sending two people to the hospital.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 1:24 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Los Carneros Road.
A big rig and an SUV were involved in the collision.
The semi-truck was leaking diesel after the crash.
Santa Barbara County firefighters and paramedics responded and transported two people to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Several lanes were closed during an investigation and cleanup.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
