Elk Grove, Calif. – A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi-truck on Interstate 5 in Elk Grove Wednesday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol, the deadly auto-pedestrian crash was reported at around 1:07 p.m. on 5 Freeway and Twin Cities Road.
The male pedestrian was crossing the intersection when a semi-truck hit him in unclear circumstances.
The man, whose name was not immediately disclosed died at the scene.
The driver involved stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigators.
