Sheriff's deputies were pursuing a stolen vehicle when the crash happened near 4th Street and Mednik Avenue
Los Angeles, Calif. – Several people were hurt when a police pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon near an intersection in East Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the pileup happened around 1:15 p.m. near 4th Street and Mednik Avenue.
Sheriff's deputies were pursuing a suspected stolen car when the collision occurred.
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with front-end damage, a smaller car with rear-end damage, and a third car were at the scene of the crash.
Several people, including the suspect, were taken to the hospital with injuries. The conditions of the patients were not mentioned.
The suspect was arrested.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
