Kent, Wash. – A 17-year-old girl was hit and severely injured by a car near an intersection in Kent Thursday morning.
According to the Kent Police Department, the collision happened at around 7:22 a.m. near Southeast 116th Avenue and Southeast 234th Street.
Investigators said the girl was walking on the crosswalk near the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle operated by a 49-year-old woman.
The girl, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Additional information about the wreck was not provided.
