Woman killed, 3 Injured in 2-vehicle Crash in Rancho Cucamonga

, Calif. – A woman is dead and three other people injured following a traffic collision involving two vehicles at an Intersection in Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday evening, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Th deadly accident occurred at about 5:25 p.m. On January 31, in the area of Hermosa Avenue and 6th Street.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 37-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was driving a black Nissan Rogue southbound on Hermosa Avenue. At the same time, a 57-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman was driving a black Mercedes CLS 550 northbound on Hermosa Avenue approaching the 6th Street intersection.

The Nissan attempted to make a left turn onto 6th Street and the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the Nissan to slam into a traffic signal pole at the intersection's northeast corner.

A female passenger in the Nissan sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers and another passenger in the Nissan were taken to Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
