According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported near the intersection of Johnson Road and Daisy Lane at around 6:09 a.m.
A vehicle hit the victim in the area in unclear circumstances.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The driver behind the wheel fled the scene before the officers arrived.
During the on-scene investigation, Johnson road was closed.
An investigation is underway.
