Police said Ragsdale was walking across the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle

Redwood City, Calif.– Joe Ragsdale, 69, of Redwood City, was hit and killed by a vehicle in Redwood City on Sunday evening, according to the San Mateo County Coroner's Office.
The wreck occurred on El Camino Real at Broadway at about 6 p.m. February 4.
Police said Ragsdale was walking across the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle.
Ragsdale was taken to Stanford Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver stayed at the scene after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the collision.
No further details were released.
The investigation is ongoing.
