Update: 13-Year-Old Boy and 21-Year-Old Man Killed in Car Collision on San Vicente Road in Ramona Identified

County, Calif. – 13-year-old Daniel Gonzalez and 21-year-old Tyler Hane, both from Ramona, were the victims of the double crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Ramona.

The pair were involved in the collision around 4:47 p.m. on February 8 on San Vicente Road, east of Wildcat Canyon Road.

Hane was testing driving a 2007 Toyota Scion TC he had bought the previous day with Gonzalez along for the ride.

The California Highway Patrol said as the pair traveled west on San Vicente Road, the car crossed the double yellow lines and collided with an SUV.

Both Gonzalez and Hane died in the crash.

Gonzalez's mother said her son attended Oliver Peirce Middle School in Ramona and had a passion for drawing, photography, and the ocean.

The 61-year-old woman driving the SUV was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Two GoFundMe accounts were opened for Gonzalez and Hane to help them raise funeral expenses.

Police said the weather was rainy at the time of the accident and speed may have contributed to the collision.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing

The crash took place at about 4:47 p.m. at 22821 on San Vicente Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, whose cause was not immediately established.

CHP said at least one person was killed in the incident.
