Los Angeles, Calif. – Authorities have identified Patrick Chacon, 5, of Garden as boy killed in pedestrian crash near an intersection in Los Angeles Sunday morning.
The police said the collision was reported at around 10:30 a.m. on February 11 near Marine and Budlong Avenues.
Chacon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles, Calif. – A 5-year-old boy died and his grandmother was injured after they were struck by a car on Sunday morning in Gardena.
The collision happened near the intersection of Marine and Budlong Avenues at around 10:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Authorities say a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Marine Avenue and was turning onto northbound Budlong Avenue when it struck the pedestrians in the crosswalk.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the incident and pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
The grandmother was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver fled the scene and was yet to be located.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
