Lincoln County, Ore. – Gordon Eugene Dale, 77, of Waldport was killed in a crash that injured three other people on Highway 101 in Lincoln County Wednesday evening.
According to the Oregon State Police, the wreck happened at around 5:50 p.m. on February 14 on Highway 101 near milepost 157.
Reportedly, Dale was driving a Toyota Prius and attempted to turn left onto northbound highway 101. The Toyota entered the path of a southbound Subaru Outback, operated by Boone Vikin Ogden, 46, of Seal Rock, and was struck in the driver's side door.
Dale was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ogden, and passengers, Michael Dennis Mitchell, 75, of Westfir and 49-year-old Joshua Aaron Bonniwell of Seal Rock, sustained minor injuries.
The highway was impacted for about two and half hours during the on-scene investigation.
The cause of the mishap is under investigation.
