One person was transported to the hospital after three cars collided on Highway 101 near Freitas Parkway
San Rafael, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision in San Rafael on Thursday evening.
The 5:26 p.m. collision happened on northbound Highway 101 near Freitas Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officers who responded to the incident recovered three cars at the accident scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision, however, were not immediately determined.
CHP says at least one person was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident is underway.
