Modesto, Calif. – The Stanislaus County Coroner's Office has identified the man who died in a suspected DUI collision in Modesto early Sunday morning.
The collision happened on South McClure Road near Leckron Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
34-year-old Gerardo Fonseca-Andrade was driving a 2014 Scion XB northbound when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided with a big-rig trailer parked on the side of the road.
Fonseca-Andrade was killed in the accident.
The man's 29-year-old wife was injured in the accident and was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
The couple's daughters, ages 9 and 5, were flown to children's hospitals in Sacramento and Madera.
Authorities believed alcohol was a factor in the collision.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
