Jacob Ambriz Killed in San Diego Crash on San Pasqual Road

, Calif. – The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who was killed in a car crash last month in San Pasqual Valley.

The two-vehicle collision happened in the 13500 block of San Pasqual Road on the afternoon of January 21, according to the San Diego Police Department.

19-year-old Jacob Ambriz, of Escondido, was driving a Pontiac sedan eastbound on San Pasqual Road when he drifted into the westbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet sedan.

Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Ambriz was killed in the accident.

A husband and wife in the Chevrolet were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
