Santa Ana, Calif. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Saturday morning in Santa Ana.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Orange Street and Edinger Avenue, according to a Santa Ana Police Department release.
A man was driving a car in the area when he struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was trapped underneath the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Orange County Fire Authority paramedics.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Santa Ana Police Department's Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the accident.
