Police said five vehicles were involved in the incident on 35th Avenue and Thomas Road
Phoenix, Ariz. – A child was among several people who were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Phoenix on Saturday afternoon, according to the Phoenix police.
The incident took place on 35th Avenue and Thomas Road at about 3:15 p.m. February 17.
Police said five vehicles were involved in the incident.
Several people, including a child with critical injuries, were transported to hospitals for treatment. One adult was also hospitalized with major injuries.
A man driving one of the vehicles was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The intersection was shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
